Yorkshire Terrier
The Yorkshire terrier is actually from the toy breed of dog, but still retains many of the terrier traits. They originated from the north of England in the country of Yorkshire. The Yorkshire terrier is quite a popular breed due to its small size. They are great for apartments but also good around the household.
The Yorkshire terrier has very much the temperament of a terrier. They are friendly and loving dogs and will accept strangers if they are conditioned properly. They do have a tendency to bark and be quite noisy if there is something or someone around that they do not like. The Yorkshire terrier is a very intelligent dog. They are very trainable and catch on to tasks quickly.

Like many other small dogs, the Yorkshire terrier seems completely oblivious to their small size. They have been known to take on much larger dogs many times to their own bad ending.
The Yorkshire terrier is a very intelligent dogs. They take nearly half the time to learn a new command than other breeds of dogs. They are great work dogs and excel in agility.
Finally the Yorkshire terrier is very active. They may seem hyper compared to other dogs. They spring into action quickly and love to play.
Yorkshire terriers are great dogs. They are quite loyal to their owners but will attempt to be leader of the pack. They are readily available through Yorkshire terrier breeders and Yorkshire terrier rescues. This bold and brave dog is great in the lap bit don’t expect it to stay their for long. With good training you may have the best watch dog around. A Yorkshire terrier shows that big things can come in little packages.
